Deana Hudgins has been helping handlers select successful detection puppies for over 20 years.
In addition to her role as the founder of CFTE, she has been in Search and Rescue since 2001 and is currently a Senior Training Analyst for the Pasco Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit in Florida. She is the Executive Director and a Founding Member of Ohio Search and Recovery Canines and is a Canine Search Specialist for FEMA working both human remains detection and live find canines.
Deana will be sharing the exact system she uses to screen puppies for detection work and will help handlers learn to interpret a puppy’s response to the selection tests so that they can pick the best dog for them and their specific job.
