Dr. Sherman Canapp is a double board-certified veterinary surgeon and sports medicine and rehabilitation specialist, internationally recognized for advancing canine orthopedics, sports medicine, and regenerative medicine. He is a Charter Diplomate and Past President of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Canapp is the founder of The Athletic Dog and co-founder of the Veterinary Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Group (VOSM), one of the first U.S. specialty hospitals for canine sports medicine. He has authored more than 50 publications and lectures internationally. His career centers on translating research and evidence-based medicine into practical strategies that help sporting and working dogs recover, perform safely, and stay active longer.
