Joy Brenner is the Executive Director and Founder of K9 MEDIC®, a leader in specialized K9 medical training. With over 20 years of experience, she and her team has trained thousands of students and more than 100 agencies worldwide. She also contributes to national working groups focused on prehospital K9 care and emergency response standards. Joy currently serves as Unit Commander for the San Bernardino County Sheriff SBSTAR Dog Team, deploying with her certified search dog, K9 Storm. Her operational background includes SAR, EMS, and K9 response, including deployments like Hurricane Katrina. She also served as a subject matter expert for the Canadian Red Cross Wilderness First Responder program.
